The Travon Walker Foundation is excited to announce our upcoming Thanksgiving Turkey Drive in Jacksonville, FL! We will be giving away 200 Thanksgiving feast boxes on a first come, first serve basis. Come see us from 12 – 2 PM on Saturday, November 18, to celebrate Thanksgiving!

The Travon Walker Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to helping the youth of today be where their feet are. We show young people how to use their strengths to identify, plan, and pursue their passions. The Travon Walker Foundation aims to inspire the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and community builders.

We aim to create employment opportunities in Travon Walker’s hometown. We work with local businesses and community partners to identify opportunities and provide support to ensure long-term success.

We are committed to helping individuals develop the skills they need to achieve financial stability and independence. Our goal is to empower youth with the resources, knowledge, and tools they need to make informed financial decisions throughout their life.

Travon Walker embodies the life-changing possibilities in athletics, and we believe every child should have the opportunity to participate in sports and physical activity. We are dedicated to improving local sports facilities, providing high-quality equipment to young athletes, and creating safe and inclusive spaces where children can learn, grow, and develop important life skills.

We are committed to supporting community development initiatives in Travon Walker’s hometown, Thomaston, GA. Our goal is to facilitate growth and new businesses to benefit the community and improve the quality of life for our youth.

Research shows the undeniable power of youth development. The Travon Walker Foundation is dedicated to empowering young people with the support and resources proven to help them succeed.
The positive outcomes to youth empowerment programs are improved social skills, improved behavior, increased academic achievement, increased self-esteem, and increased self-efficacy
Young people who are surrounded by a variety of opportunities for positive encounters engage in less risky behavior and ultimately show evidence of higher rates of successful transitions into adulthood.
Research definitively shows that youth who have sufficient support from their families, schools, and communities develop the assets necessary to do well in life.
When young people experience strong developmental relationships with program leaders, they are more likely to demonstrate leadership and social responsibility, develop a sense of community identity, and set goals and stretch themselves to reach goals.

TRAVON WALKER
FOOTBALL
Travon Walker has proven himself as a dominant force on the football field—from the 2019 All-American Bowl in high school, to the 2022 College Football National Championship, and now as a starting outside linebacker in the National Football League.
Walker’s impressive college football career at the University of Georgia earned him numerous accolades—including being named to the All-SEC Teams in 2020 and 2021 and a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award given to the best defensive player in college football—and helped lead the Bulldogs to success on the field. Walker’s ability to disrupt plays and get to the quarterback was undeniable, recording a total of 82 tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, and 13.5 sacks during his college career. His outstanding performance in the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship game was instrumental in helping the University of Georgia win their first national championship in over 40 years. Walker was named the Defensive MVP of the game, capping off an impressive season for the talented defensive lineman.
After three standout seasons for the Georgia Bulldogs, Walker entered the 2022 NFL Draft, where he was the number one overall draft pick, selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars. In his rookie season, he started in 14 of the 15 games he appeared in, finishing with 3.5 sacks, 49 total tackles, one interception, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble.

FAMILY
Travon’s family has always been a source of inspiration and motivation for him. Growing up with a close-knit family and support system in Thomaston, Georgia, Travon credits his family—parents Lasonia and Stead, sisters Charmaine and Nikeria, and niece—for keeping him grounded and reminding him of his roots, even as he has achieved success on the football field. His parents instilled in him the importance of hard work, discipline, and perseverance from a young age, values that would serve him well in his life on and off the field. Travon wants to motivate youth in the community to embrace these strong values and equip them with the resources they need to follow their dreams and achieve their goals as he has done through football.
While Walker is immensely grateful for his family’s love and encouragement, he realizes not every child has access to such a strong support system to help navigate life’s obstacles. Like his parents before him, Walker aims to inspire, mentor, and support Thomaston’s youth through this foundation, equipping the next generation with the tools they need to discover and achieve their goals.

The most successful NFL athletes—and people in general—are those who have a well-rounded approach to their careers, focusing on their mental, emotional, physical, and financial well-being. While football is undoubtedly the catalyst for Walker’s career, he is a multi-faceted individual who is motivated to pursue diverse interests off the field and build the foundation for long-term success and fulfillment.

Basketball
Walker was also a talented athlete on the basketball court. A four-year starter in high school, Walker averaged 11.7 points a game and 10.8 rebounds.

Travon has a passion for music, having played various instruments throughout his childhood.
