Thomaston, GA – The Travon Walker Foundation provided 250 backpacks filled with supplies needed for the school year to families with children enrolled at Upson-Lee schools.
The annual Back to School Drive was a big success, distributing all 250 backpacks to the community in less than 2 hours! In addition to the backpacks filled with supplies, we also provided parents of the children with financial literacy fact sheets to help educate and drive awareness on the importance of good financial habits. The fact sheet had simple tips and resources to allow families to immediately begin implementing these habits into their lives.
Travon Walker is passionate about giving back to and serving the community from which he came. He and the foundation plan on putting this event on annually, along with a handful of other events in the Thomaston area.
